Farm House Friday

I live in lexington ky in the suburbs but i have turned my backyard into a huge garden every year. This spring i plan to get a chicken tractor and 4 hens to supply my own eggs and to perform bug patrol for me. This summer i was overrun with squash bugs and sow bugs that ate my garden up. I organic garden so the chickens i have come spring will fit right in 
I planted a plum tree in the front yard this summer and plan to put 2 dwarf apple trees out this spring also. I spend the cold wintery part of January planing my garden and what new veggies i want to try.
I also make most the items i use on a daily basis. My friend Bonne taught me how to make cold proccesed lye soap and now i wont use anything but ........  I make several batches a year.

It is a bit expensive to make  so it is hard to sell to folks use to paying 2 bars for a buck at dollar type stores. So i keep as gifts for friends and myself .

I recycle and upcyle yarns and fabrics from clothes and turn into other useful items to use around my home and for myself. An old sweater can be unraveled and turned back into a warm scarf or even legwarmers and a hat.
I have a small Etsy store where i sell the jewelry and other designs that i craft .....if you would like to see it go to  MY STORE
